This week we were all prepared to give you this awesome interview with the Canadian artists Sora. It was all edited and sounds all pretty. However, for some reason, the server host won't upload it. We are working on the problem, and hope to have it up soon. Until then, go visit Sora's site as linked in the sidebar. The song on the podcast is Children of Lir off her CD Heartwood. You can get it at CD Baby. You can hear other tracks from the CD at http://www.myspace.com/sorasinger .

Welcome to the Pacific Northwest Celtic Music Podcast! We are back, and we are better than we ever were. We have decided to alter our format somewhat. A new episode will be posted every other week. The episodes will be alternating between straight music and interviews and/or musical discussion. This week we are starting with a musical podcast, and we are featuring some great artists from here in the Pacific Northwest.

#1 - Ceol Miners - Brennan on the Moore.
Ceol Miners is a band out of Seattle. They are Christine Traxler on fiddle, Christian Hoffman on guitar, vocals and other stuff, and Harry Miller on flutes, vocals and other stuff. You can find out more on their My Space page - link in the sidebar.

#2 - Culann's Hounds - Wild Mountain thyme - off their CD Year of the Dog
Culann's Hounds is formed by Mike Kelleher on guitar, vocals and tin whistle, Steve Gardener on fiddle, vocals, guitar and tin whistle, Scott Marshall on bodhran and percussion, and Renee de la Prade on button accordian, vocals and harmonica. You can learn more about them at thier website link in the sidebar.

#3 - Circled By Hounds - The Tinkerman - off their new CD Howl No Demon Louder
Circled By Hounds is a band out of Portland. They originated here in Eugene and have a huge following here. In the group are Kathryn Claire on fiddle, concertina, tambourine, junk percussion and vocals, Matthew Hayward-McDonald on guitar, vocals and pitchfork (yes, they actually play the pitchfork in this song), Vash on bodhran, bones, spoons and percussion, Sara Dee on fiddle, vocals and junk percussion, and Hanz Araki on flutes, whistles, vocals and bodhran. You can read more about them and where they are playing next at thier website link in the sidebar.

Thank you for listening! If you have any questions, comments, or know of an artists you would like to see featured here send us an email at pnwcmpodcast@gmail.com
