Hey there!

If you have just stumbled on this podcast, welcome! It has been a long time since we were last able to post a podcast. Main problem for this show is content. Not enough Northwest artists want to participate. We still want to produce the show, but as of now it is pending content. If you know anyone who would be willing to participate, please either send us thier contact info or give then ours so we can get this going again. Email info to: pnwcmpodcast@ gmail.com.

Also, if you are in the area, the Yachats Celtic Music Festival is happening this year, organized by none other than a friend to this podcast Hanz Araki. It will be happening November 7-8th 2008. The website is www.yachatscelticmusicfestival.com . Hope to see you there!

Welcome back! Thanks for sticking with me. I have used my down time wisely, improving the quality of this podcast. I hope you are not disappointed by the results. This episode we feature James Wilson, and his original masterpiece Crooked Road to Corvallis. You can hear more at his My Space page http://www.myspace.com/jamesbrianwilsoncelttunes He can also be found on CD Baby. The second group we feature is the ever talented An Dochas. This group is from Spokane, WA. They play traditional Celtic music on traditional instruments but with a modern, funky beat. The song we played is The Ashplant. You can hear more at thier website http://www.andochas.com. They tour with a group called the Haran dancers, who are also talented in their own right. The last group is a group we feature frequently on this program, Circled By Hounds. They are local from here in Eugene, though now they are based out of Portland. They recently added a new member, Sarah Dee, who is extraordinarily talented. Usually when an established group adds a new member you can tell they are still learning to mesh with the groups style. Not so with Sarah. She rocks! She totally meshes with this group's style. Watching her and Katheryn Clare play fiddle together on stage is nothing short of magical. So the song we played this week is Erin Boatmen. This song does not have Sarah on it. It is actually not on thier CD Chasing Our Tales. But it is worth taking a look anyway. Thier My Space page is http://www.myspace.com/circledbyhounds

So that's tha show. If you like it, please let me know. If you think there is something I can add that would imrpove the entertainment value of this podcast, feel free to drop me a line. The email address is pnwcmpodcast@gmail.com.
