We also shared one of our original podcasts from back in 2005.

#1. - Darby O'Gill - Leather, Brass and Bone.
This song was written by a dear friend of Darby O'Gill who passed away recently. His name is Joe Maher. We played this in his memory. May his memory be a blessing and his music warm your heart.

The following songs were featured in the re-run podcast:

#1. Skye- Both Sides the Tweed
This group is out of Eugene, OR, though currently it is in a different incarnation than when the song was recorded. You can buy thier CD at the website linked in the sidebar.

**NOTE: Joe Maher was not the lead for Darby O'Gill. That is Scott Messer. Joe was a friend and songwriter who wrote songs that Darby O'Gill perform.

Farewell to Liam clancy, The Irish Experience and An Dochas

Download this episode (16 min)
This week we pay tribute to the Irish music icon Liam Clancy, who passed away December 4th. He was on of 5 Clancy brothers, who formed a group called The Clancy Brothers. Frequently they played as The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem. He was the last surviving Clancy brother. He will be sorely missed. The tribute song was Buchail On Eirne. RIP, LIam.

The other artists featured this week:

#1. The Irish Experience - Dinny Delaney's Slide from their CD Green Energy.
This group is out of Seattle, WA. They play traditional Celtic and Appalachian music with a twist - on electric instruments. This gives their music a bit of a kick and high energy. You can get their Cd Green Energy at CD Baby, and hear more from this CD on their My Space page that is linked int he sidebar.

#2 - An Dochas - Hag with the Money - from thier CD Dragonfly.
This group is out of my hometown of Spokane, WA (which is on the other side of the state from Seattle, in case you didn't know.) They tour with thier own dance troup, the Haran Dancers. I am sure that is quite a show. You can see a list of current shows by going to thier website or thier My Space page - both are linked on the sidebar.

#3- the Irish Experience - Paddy Fahey's - also from thier CD Green Energy

This week we were all prepared to give you this awesome interview with the Canadian artists Sora. It was all edited and sounds all pretty. However, for some reason, the server host won't upload it. We are working on the problem, and hope to have it up soon. Until then, go visit Sora's site as linked in the sidebar. The song on the podcast is Children of Lir off her CD Heartwood. You can get it at CD Baby. You can hear other tracks from the CD at http://www.myspace.com/sorasinger .
